Natural Resources Recovery operates Knox County's Greenwaste and Composting Facility in Solway and its Greenwaste Facility at Forks of the River. Natural Resources Recovery uses recycled wood and yard waste from homeowners, businesses, and developers in proven composting management techniques to create premium soil mixes and mulches. These compost based soil mixes, soil conditioners, and mulches are marketed as the "Nature's Best" product line.
In addition to recycling the wood waste, Natural Resources Recovery also operates a tire-recycling program. These facilities were created with a vision of making a positive difference in how Knox County handles its greenwaste by keeping these materials from going to our landfills.
