Natural Resources Recovery,
Inc., founded in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, began with a vision
of making a positive difference in how Baton Rouge handled
its waste. NRR president and owner, Sid Brian saw a need to
find an effective solution to Baton Rouge’s limited landfill
space.
In 1999, NRR signed a contract with the East Baton Rouge Parish to recycle
greenwaste such as brush, tree limbs or stumps, yard trimmings, and Christmas
trees. NRR currently operates two greenwaste facilities and a C & D landfill
in Baton Rouge.
In 2003 Natural Resources Recovery was contracted to operate the greenwaste
and tire recycling facility in Knox County, TN. Later that year the Solway
facility received the first composting permit issued in Tennessee.
NRR uses recycled wood and yard waste in proven composting management techniques
to create premium soil mixes and mulches These products, Nature’s Best
Organics, are found in nurseries and garden centers.
